Who Are We?
In 2018, we published Leadership Intelligence: The 5Qs for Thriving as a Leader, receiving widespread international acclaim. Translated into more than ten languages, this work set the foundation for our digital academy, aimed at broadening leadership impact for leaders.
Our aim is to help leaders at the highest levels master these five interconnected aspects of leadership by fostering resilience, ethical decision-making, and strategic influence.
Dr Ali Qassim Jawad
Dr. Ali Jawad is a recognized expert in one of the most difficult segments of public sector transformation: how to bridge the gap between grand strategic visions and concrete changes on the ground. He has led national policy and strategic initiatives and devised many leadership development programs for all levels of government. He is an advocate of government transformation, entrepreneurship in government, and public-private partnership. He has a deep passion for helping people reach their full potential through innovative learning.
Dr. Ali is widely recognized as a pioneering figure in world-class leadership development, having profoundly shaped the strategic and operational frameworks of leadership initiatives across high-profile platforms in Oman and the region. He spearheaded the development and progression of pivotal leadership programs that equipped senior officials and executives to adeptly manage global and economic challenges, significantly enhancing the caliber of government and business leadership in Oman and the region. Additionally, Dr. Ali has catalyzed the development of innovative leadership skills among Oman’s youth. His programs have established groundbreaking improvements in national leadership capacity, with numerous graduates ascending to C-suite and prominent government roles.
As the founding president of the Royal Academy of Management, Dr. Jawad strategically spearheaded its development from a mere concept to a world-class institution recognized as a benchmark in the GCC for public sector transformation and leadership excellence. Within just two years, the Academy became a focal point for senior and emerging leaders from public service, the private sector, and local governance, championing innovation and forward-thinking through its three main Centers of Excellence in Leadership Development, Local Governance, and Future Readiness.
Formerly, he held the leadership position of directing a socio-economic think tank established by His Majesty the Sultan of Oman, a pivotal institution dedicated to the enhancement of central government effectiveness. Dr. Jawad has been instrumental in steering policy formulation and governance enhancements at national levels.
Moreover, Dr. Ali has extensive experience of working with several prominent consulting organizations including Booz Allen & Hamilton (USA) and PA Consulting (UK) on strategic government initiatives across MENA - Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE.
Dr. Ali’s wider engagements with worldwide Higher Education Institutes spans different roles, from being an Executive-in-Residence at Said Business School, University of Oxford, a Scholar-in-Residence at INSEAD and a visiting Scholar at Yale School of Management to sitting on boards and committees including the Sultan Qaboos University’s College of Economics and Political Science (Chairman), Cranfield School of Management, the American University in Cairo’s School of Business among others.
His thought leadership and strategic foresight have been crystallized in his published works which contribute to ongoing discussions on innovative governance and effective leadership, Notably, his recent publications include 'Government Reimagined' (2020) and his seminal work, 'Leadership Intelligence: The 5Qs for Thriving as a Leader' (2018)."

How Do We Do It?
We provide leadership development tools, workshops and leadership intelligence programmes based on our 5Qs Pulse assessment. The goal is always to strengthen leaders' capacity to thrive and prosper through uncertainty and inspire positive change in their organisations.
Our 5Qs Pulse leadership development tool evaluates leaders across five key intelligences – Intellectual, Resilience, Emotional, Moral and Political. Through this assessment, leaders gain increased understanding of their strengths and growth areas.
